It was a pleasure to be involved in Bill Laurance's lovely score to Un Traductor, a fascinating and true story. A Russian Literature professor at the University of Havana is ordered to work as a translator for child victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster when they are sent to Cuba for medical treatment.
I orchestrated the music for the live string and guitar players, with the marvellous Fi Cruickshank recording and mixing the music. The film was screened at Sundance under the category 'best foreign film'.
